The Architectural Story of London C3726783
The course will look at the history of London through its architecture from the scanty Roman remains, through the medieval period and up to the recent developments at Canary Wharf. We will spend time looking in depth at the architecture of the age of Wren, and the 18th. century. The course will be illustrated by slides of paintings, drawings, historic maps and photographs of present day London. A useful background book is London in Maps, by The British Library.
