About the WEA
Welcome to this website displaying classes for adults available for EAST KENT, run by the WEA organisation. We are a national directly funded voluntary adult education charity. There is a small local committee that has organised these classes for you. The WEA are at the forefront of providing LIBERAL STUDIES classes but also provide WORKPLACE and COMMUNITY LEARNING. Further details contect our regional office In EAST KENT there are branches at ASHFORD, CANTERBURY, DOVER, FAVERSHAM, FOLKESTONE, HERNE BAY, PETHAM, LITTLEBOURNE, WHITSTABLE, WINGHAM, WYE. We all run courses, about 50 in the 2007/2008 season are listed. The printed KENT booklet can be found in your local library, by ringing 0800 328 1060 All courses are listed on our NATIONAL WEBSITE.with a good search facility and ON-LINE ENROLMENTS. Our aims are to provide high quality learning opportunities for adults from all walks of life. NO QUALIFICATIONS ARE REQUIRED. If you have an interest in the subject then that is enough. It will be a rewarding and enriching experience!
